The show on FOX: "lie to me" question?

so, if you've seen this show called "lie to me" its about a man and
many other people who study facial expressions to tell their emotions.

my question is, is:
is this a real career? does it have a certain name for it? can you
actually go to school and learn this?
ex: psychology: study of the mind
