An arcade racer that lets players hit the track in any car they wish
--- that sums up the game Paper Racer, which is now available for
iPhone or iPod Touch on the App Store. In addition to devising a vast
array of racing circuits, the designers at Black Coal Studio put
special stock in developing an ingenious customization system that
allows users to integrate any vehicle they wish into the game simply
by photographing it with their iPhone camera. To top it all off,
every car that is imported into Paper Racer is automatically
converted into a barcode that can be published on social networking
sites like Twitter and Facebook so other players can use it too. This
means every Paper Racer user can design a custom-made racer for their
friends and acquaintances. Of course, players can simply use one of
Paper Racer's 17 pre-existing hotrods to speed down any of the 16
racetracks in a quest to garner a spot on the victory stand ---
remember, only drivers who pilot their micro machines to a top-three
finish gain access to additional racing circuits. At any rate,
winding courses, sheer drops and a highly-sensitive physics engine
guarantee every round presents a new challenge. The raceways are
jam-packed with obstacles that can easily be banged and bumped to
block the racing line, making a podium finish all the more difficult.
